Privacy
This policy explains what data CodeMago News processes, why, and what your rights are (Brazil’s LGPD and the GDPR).
What we collect. To read the site, nothing that identifies you by name. We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies (_ga) with a random browser ID and records page views, where you came from, device and approximate region. We count reads of each story anonymously. We do not ask for sign-up, we have no newsletter and we send no browser notifications.
Advertising. There are no third-party ads and no advertising cookies. CodeMago ads are ordinary links: when you click, you go to the CodeMago site, and the address carries parameters (utm) that only say which CodeMago News page you came from.
Legal basis. Google Analytics audience measurement rests on our legitimate interest (LGPD art. 7, IX) in knowing what is read and improving the site — shown on your first visit. To opt out, block the site’s cookies in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
Who else. Audience measurement is done by Google Analytics (Google), which keeps data for 14 months. The YouTube player uses cookie-free mode (youtube-nocookie.com); when you play a video, YouTube’s policies also apply.
Your rights. Access, correct, export or delete your data: write to the contact e-mail.
Preferences. We store in your browser (local storage) choices such as light/dark theme and whether you have read the measurement notice. This never leaves your device; to clear it, delete this site’s data in your browser.
