The 5-hour window is the difference you feel
Claude Pro, at US$ 20 a month, gives roughly 45 messages every 5 hours plus a weekly cap. Hit the cap and you wait for the window to roll — mid-task, with no useful warning, and with a long conversation burning through it faster than a short one, because every turn re-reads the whole history.
